A Legacy of the Staheli Family

For over a century, Cotton Town Village has been a cherished part of the Staheli family legacy, rooted deeply in the history of Southern Utah. The story begins with our great-great-grandfather, Johann Staheli, a pioneer and one of the original settlers in Southern Utah. His son, Franklin then transformed this humble plot of land in Washington, Utah into a thriving onion farm, working tirelessly under the vast desert sky to support his family and contribute to the burgeoning community.

As the years passed, the farm became more than just a place of work; it was a symbol of perseverance, family, and tradition. The legacy continued with George and Kathleen Staheli, who had a vision to create something extraordinary on the very land that had nurtured their ancestors. Inspired by a desire to preserve the rich history of Washington and honor the pioneering spirit of their forebears, George and Kathy set out to build Cotton Town Village.

With love and dedication, they transformed the old farm into a charming village that captures the essence of a bygone era. The village was designed to be a living tribute to the past, with rustic buildings and quaint streets reminiscent of the early days of Washington. George and Kathy's dream was to create a place where people could gather to celebrate life's milestones, find tranquility, and pursue their passions.

Today, Cotton Town Village stands as a testament to their vision and hard work. It is now being passed on to be lovingly cared for by their children, who strive to continue the family tradition of hospitality and community. Under their stewardship, Cotton Town Village will continue to flourish as a destination for weddings, cozy accommodations, and vibrant business opportunities, all while maintaining its historic charm.

The Staheli family's commitment to preserving the past while embracing the future ensures that Cotton Town Village remains a beloved landmark in Washington, Utah. As the village continues to grow and evolve, it remains a place where history is honored, and new memories are made—a true legacy of the Staheli family's enduring spirit.

Our dream for Cotton Town Village was to create a place where history comes alive, where people can celebrate life's special moments, and where the spirit of our ancestors' hard work and dedication is honored. We wanted to build a village that not only remembers the past but also inspires future generations to cherish and carry forward our rich heritage.
